A catch-all feature that is enabled for a certain e-mailbox will allow you to receive email messages that are sent to email addresses that do not actually exist. Otherwise stated, if you deactivate an email address and someone still sends a message to it, or to any misspelled address under the same domain name, you’ll receive the email in the catch-all mailbox. Using this functionality means that you will no longer miss an email for any reason, which could be crucial if you are running a business, for example. Since you may begin receiving junk emails, you can combine the catch-all functionality with email filters so as to get only legitimate messages in your inbox. Only one mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be enabled for a catch-all mailbox.
Catch-all Emails in Shared Hosting
You will be able to set up a catch-all mailbox without any effort if you have a shared hosting plan with us. The Email Manager tool in our custom-built Hepsia hosting Control Panel is fully featured, yet astonishingly simple to use, and it will permit you to enable different options, including the catch-all one, with just several mouse clicks. All the mailboxes that you have will be displayed alphabetically in this section and on the right side of each of them you will find a small "Catch-all" sign. Clicking on it once will activate this option, clicking it once more will disable it. As you can have just one such mailbox per domain name, our system will warn you if you’ve already got a different one with this option activated or if you’ve got activated email forwarding.
Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting
The catch-all functionality can be activated without any effort if you have a semi-dedicated server plan with our company. All the email addresses that you have created using the domain names hosted in your semi-dedicated account will be shown in the Hepsia Control Panel’s Email Manager section and you will see a mini icon conveniently located directly next to each one. With just one single click, you can enable or disable the catch-all option for any mailbox of your preference provided that there isn't another mailbox under that same domain with the option already activated and there isn't active email forwarding. Instead, you can right-click on a mailbox and enable this option through the contextual menu that will come into sight. In case any of the preconditions for setting up a catch-all mailbox is not fulfilled, our system will inform you, but will not disable or replace anything automatically.
